MERA Members Preview Industry's Newest Bluetooth, PDF Print E-mail

Vancouver, B.C., M.E.R.A. members had a special preview of the most recent AVIDWORX showcase roll out for new technology such as Bluetooth, iPod/MP3, satellite radio, mobile security and OEM integration.

If you're a MERA member there's a good chance you've already had a live preview of the hottest new store showcase released by AVIDWORX.  The IMAGEWORX showcase was unveiled to MERA members first at the Boston Regional Event.  AVIDWORX presented members with tricks of the trade on how to sell ‘what you can't see'.  For 12 volt retailers, selling what you can't see is a challenge with the newest wave of technology such as Bluetooth, iPod/MP3, satellite radio, mobile security and OEM integration.  "We looked at all the feedback about these new technologies from 12 volt stores and came up with IMAGEWORX.  We've had an awesome response to this much needed new selling tool," said Marcel.

AVIDWORX says they've discovered the biggest challenge with the new technologies is that the retailers have to sell what the customer can't actually see, and most customers are not fully aware these latest technologies exist, let alone how they work.  It is the retailers who must educate customers on how these new technologies can improve their customers' lives, and the IMAGEWORX was designed to do exactly that.  IMAGEWORX uses full color graphics and fully active product demos to get the educational message across quickly.  Marcel Newell, AVIDWORX Quarterback and President says, "In a few seconds, a customer will be drawn to a product category, quickly get an overall concept of the technology, then play with an interactive demo to understand the benefits.  They end up selling themselves on it!"

At the Boston Regional MERA event, the freshly unveiled IMAGEWORX showcase was awarded to a lucky MERA retailer who correctly answered a question from AVIDWORX's presentation.  "Hopefully, retailers will learn that it is definitely worth it to pay attention to a helpful presentation, especially when the AVIDWORX crew is doing the presenting and there's a question at the end.  Yes, this is a hint, folks!" quips Marcel.
